Repurposing content is a great way to boost your content strategy efforts, and it can be achieved by taking your content in a different direction.
Content repurposing is not a new concept, but it is an underused one. What is content repurposing? Simply put, it is taking a piece of content and using it in a different context. Most people think of content repurposing as a "re-use," where the content is re-purposed for another piece of content. However, repurposing can also happen with the actual content itself.
A Video recording example :
Your video script is ready
Record the video for approximately 1 hour so you have sufficient material
Then you split it into 5-10 minutes format to be posted on YouTube
For TikTok instead, you need to split it in <1mn sequences
You can use it also in Podcasts (from 4 minutes to 20)
Transcribe the video in text format, edit it and publish a blog post
For Twitter, extract the transcription of key passages into threads and enjoy tweeting
In the same way, you can play with the content of a blog post. You can include it in a new blog post on a different subject, or use it in an email or social media post.
It's easy: from a single content, you can generate dozens of sub-content, which will allow you to reach your target audience.
The key to repurposing your content is to keep it fresh and engaging!
